Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be super fit to join a Follow the Wheel Weekender?
Absolutely not! But as we all know it is no fun suffering like a dog on the bike, so we suggest some level of training prior to the event - but it is entirely up to you. Our Weekenders are not races, they’re an opportunity to meet likeminded individuals and explore and enjoy the fantastic scenery our events have to offer.
Can I join a Weekender on my own?
Of course, a big part of FTW events is about meeting new people and building connections on and off the bike.
I would like a room on my own – is this possible?
Single rooms are available subject to availability and for a supplementary amount. Please drop us a line for further information.
What support is available on the ride?
The FTW support car will be available to carry extra clothing, water, snacks and gels so you don’t need to stuff your jersey pockets.
If you need to miss out a section of the route then you can jump in the car for as long as you need and follow on until you’re ready to rejoin the group.
You will be joined by two or three ride leaders on each ride who will ensure the group stays safe and no-one gets left behind.
*We provide a limited level of mechanical support and carry basic spares such as tyres, innertubes, chains etc. If the worst should happen, we will try our best to get you back on the road as quickly as possible, but we cannot take responsibilities for catastrophic mechanical issues.
